On Saturday, 19th July 2025, Rubongi Army Secondary School (RASS) held its much-anticipated Visitation Day. Parents arrived to meet their children after nearly two months of separation. The day was filled with excitement, creativity, and emotional moments—some joyful, others bittersweet.
From the vibrant displays of the Educate Club to the warm welcome by ushers, the event was memorable. However, not all students had visitors, leaving some—especially Senior Five students—heartbroken.
Educate Club Shines with Creative Displays
The Educate Club impressed parents with their innovative products. They showcased handmade stickers with motivational quotes, liquid soap, and even mosquito repellent. The creativity stunned many, proving that RASS students are talented and entrepreneurial.
Parents didn’t hold back—some bought items, while others recorded videos and took pictures to share online. The club’s success hints at even bigger surprises in the future. Who knows what they’ll come up with next?
A Warm Welcome from RASS Ushers
Parents were pleasantly surprised by the helpful ushers. These students assisted with heavy luggage and guided visitors to the announcement table. This made finding their children quick and stress-free.
Many parents expressed gratitude for the smooth organization. The ushers’ politeness and efficiency set a positive tone for the day. Such small acts of kindness make a big difference in creating a welcoming environment.
Heartbreak for Unvisited Students
While many students enjoyed happy reunions, some—especially in Senior Five—were left disappointed and in tears. Despite waiting eagerly, their parents never showed up.
This situation highlights the emotional impact of visitation days. Students long for parental connection, and being overlooked can be deeply painful. It’s a reminder to future parents: always make time for your children.
A Message to Parents
To all parents, remember: your presence matters. Visitation days are more than just meetings—they’re a chance to listen, encourage, and bond with your child.
A simple visit can brighten their day and strengthen your relationship. As the saying goes:
“Children are a gift from God—always make them happy.”
